OH NO! I forgot about the landing when I was going for that bird on the rail. I almost had him, and then somewhere in mid-pounce I realized I was going to get very, very wet! Now, mind you - I am a very good swimmer, but I have an absolute aversion to the getting wet part.
Captain Don has to net me, (very humiliating) and then - I hit the showers. It's almost worse than the swim. I get a good towel dry afterwards, and then I go to work at cleaning up my uniform. I find the whole experience quite traumatic, and usually take sick leave from my duties for a day or two after.
